Gold - Kerron CLEMENT, USA
The race was great! It feels amazing to be world champion. This is THE night. I am a world champion and I am just so thankful. After the race I was praying to God because all really depends on him. After the gunshot, I just got out of the blocks and ran. I like that, and not to think about the hurdles. I had to catch the guys in front of me and did not think about saving energy. That is just myself. On the last two hurdles, I had problems with my rhythm, but I still managed, that did not matter anymore. These last three days, I stayed focused. I worked hard and did not worry about who was going to be in the race.
Silver - Felix SÁNCHEZ, DOM
I can't be completely disappointed, I ran as good as I can. I wanted the third gold medal, but looking what I was running at the start of the season I must be more than happy. The race itself was very difficult. I lost my focus after the 5th hurdle when Kerron passed me and he is not having strong starts. I had to wait until the 8th hurdle to correct everything. I ran 13 to six and was able to go from fourth into second place at the finish. Actually, that is not bad. I still hope to break 48 seconds at the end of the season. One thing is sure - I'm back.
Bronze - Marek PLAWGO, POL
I came here with the 18th best performance so couldn't imagine ever getting a medal. I changed my mind after the semi-final. I could almost have finished second, but Felix Sanchez... he is the Olympic champion. I set my previous national record when I was 20 and I had to wait for six years before breaking it again. But it was the right time to break it!
